Mar 15 @ Volusia County Skeet & Trap Club

We arrived and no one was home : (

The club apparently has stopped shooting on Saturday.

A first time visit. I had talked to two shooters who had shot at the club recently and was told Saturday and Sunday shooting.

The Florida club just opened in the past few months and I gather the schedule needed to be modified. At this time the club has one skeet and one trap field, but is suppose to be adding an additonal skeet and trap field at some point.

Saturday taped over, open Wednesday (9-1) and Sunday

Directions to the club...

I took exit 261B, I-95 (coming from the north).

The club is maybe 10 minutes from the Daytona Beach Flea Market. I drove right past it, heading south on Rt. 415, Tomoka Farms Road.

Keep driving until you see the Cabbage Patch Bar and hang a right (west) at the intersection. The Volusia club is located 7/10 of a mile west of the Cabbage Patch Bar, on Rt. 4118 (Pioneer Trail).

We stopped at the flea market, as they also sell fresh produce and purchased a flat of strawberries, so the day was not a total lost.

  1. I just called 1-386-252-7444 and spoke to a wonderful gentelman. He gave me directions, time and pricing.

You don't have to be a memeber to go. It's $4/round which is 25 pigeons for memebers, and $6/round for non-memebers. The annual membership fee is $25/year.

    Your directions above sounded right.

Hours are: Wednesday starting at 10 am, finishing around 1pm and Sunday starting around 10 am and ending around 3 or 4 pm.

My family and I have never been skeet shooting before and I was very well recieved over the phone, very welcomed (this was most appreicated!)

    Hope to see you there!

  3. Thanks for the update.

The club must be very popular as this posting receives a number of hits from within your county and surrounding area.

A scheduled visit is already on our 2009 calendar.

  4. I also spoke with a gentleman about the schedule and general information about the club. He was probably the same guy the previous poster mentioned. I will post tommorrow about how it went at the range
