Sunday @ Club L'Acadie

I attended the 2012 Réal Ouimet Memorial Day trap shoot at Club L'Acadie, shooting both the singles and handicap event.  An uneventful AM, but the winds started to kick up in the PM. A left to right wind.  An interesting afternoon.

A nice turnout.  We used field 1 & 2. 50 targets per field.

I included several photos of the Remington Truck that was visiting the club.

In August, the club is holding the Quebec Bunker Trap Championships.  The shoot has been expanded from the original concept and is welcoming shooters from throughout Canada and the USA.   CAN-AM game!  In passing I 'm told a shooter from Australia may be in attendance. One of the club shooters is heading off to Europe in the next few weeks, who knows who he may entice to attend?

The bunker shooters were out in force and they were shooting off a bunker they don't normally use.  One of the two that will be used for the shoot.  Good to see this!  Give the bunker a good workout and fix any problems that may arise before the shoot.  I see problems with machines at a few skeet and trap shoots.  Only a few favorite fields are used during the year and when the big shoot is held, machine problems on the disused fields.

I had an opportunity to shoot a new Browning.  Not sure of the model, but a new model and was told only 200 plus in the USA and two in Canada.  Just a few shots off the 5-stand.  A 32 inch barrel.   Balanced well!

Several International Skeet shooters were practicing for the Canadian that is also scheduled to be held in August at the club.

I have plans to film at least one day of both the Bunker and International Skeet shoots.
