Underhill (Vermont) has scheduled 6 shoots for the year 2025, and they are all loaded on Scorechaser ready for you to sign up.

The events are as follows.

NCSC (Vermont) - 5 Stand - Winter Fun Shoot Schedule

January 11th (Saturday) is our 1st fun shoot of the winter season.

Fun shoots this year will be the 2nd Saturday of January, February

and March. Times available are 9:00, 9:35, 11:15, 11:50. Cost $40.00.

Shoot 50 targets then take a break warm up then shoot the next 50 clays. The warming hut will be open, heat will be on if the temperature is below 25 degrees. Free coffee, and crock pot food to warm you up. Limited to 24 shooters.

NCSC (Williston) 5 Stand Shoot - 14 Dec

The Club has decided to add an impromptu NSCA registered shoot to the calendar before the end of the year, on Saturday 12/14/24. We will hold at least a 100 target main event and if weather and snow pack allow we will add a 50 target side event. When registration opens (more on this below), you will only see the main event, but keep an eye on your email the week before the shoot and plan to bring a few extra boxes of shells in case we are able to offer the side event. While this will be a NSCA registered event, non-registered Hunter class shooters are always welcome. Come out and get a jump start on your 2025 target count!

Registration for the shoot will open this coming Thursday, 11/21/2024 at 5pm. I will send another email around that time with a link to Scorechaser. But if you're ambitious you can watch Scorechaser more proactively. In the meantime, check your calendars and reach out to your shooting buddies to coordinate your registrations and shoot times.

A hot lunch will be provided in the clubhouse for the hardy souls that come out and join us!

NCSC's (Vt) final shoot of the year - Oct 19

 NCSC's final registered shoot of the year is coming up next Saturday (Oct 19) with a 100 target main event, and 50 target "Fluff" side event being offered. This is a NSCA registered shoot, but non-registered Hunter class shooters are always welcome to join up. If you are hoping to join us and have not yet signed up, I have some bad news... The shoot filled quickly and all 40 main event slots are taken. Still, information about the shoot can be found at the following link on Scorechaser.

If you would like to join us, I would be happy to put you on a wait list. Conversely, if you signed up and will not be able to make the shoot, please cancel through Scorechaser or let me know so we can free your spot for someone else.

Remington Gun Club Failed to Fire

Brand new factory Remington Gun Club, 12-gauge shell. Sounded like a reload without powder when I pulled the trigger. 

Primer went off and blew the wad out the barrel.  No signs of unburnt powder.

I've shot cases since this past winter.  First one that failed to fire. Had several weak sounding ones and a few that failed to open the bolt on my semi when cycling.

Just two weeks away from the Underhill Leaf Peeper shoot which takes place Fri 9/27 and Sat 9/28.

Friday is 50 bird 5 - stand taking place under our new 5-stand shelter, and a 50 bird super sporting on the clays course.

Saturday is a 100 bird 14 station sporting clays along with a 50 bird 20g and a 50 bird 12-gauge event.
